Dahlia stands and turns her back to the detective and the mirror. Chris holds his hand up to pause the conversation, causing the detective to stop talking. Dahlia places her hands on her hips and arches slightly backward before turning around and sitting back down. Dahlia shows no emotion before saying, “Continue, detective.”

“Do we need to take a break, Ms. Frost?”

“No, let’s get this over with.”

The detective searches Dahlia’s face and takes a sip of his coffee. “We could stop this. Just tell me the truth.”

Dahlia stares at him, “I did.” The detective begins again.
